That’s a fair question. The answer is that sometimes life gets complicated for a while. A while back my wife started a series of medical procedures that require us to go to Atlanta every three to four weeks. Between taking of the kids, taking care of her, taking care of the essentials for the couple days she’s out of commission after each procedure, the actual driving, and working full time, there’s just not a lot of time left over for me to deep-dive into research. So Phil and I were presented with a dilemma: 1) do we push forward with normal episodes but do less research, 2) do we produce episodes that require little research and are easily debunked and/or proven, or 3) do we pause the podcast itself for a couple of months while my family works through this current interruption to our normal lives and find another way to produce content that isn’t as time sensitive ore require both of us to be available at the same time?Phil and I are not interested in producing episodes that are not well researched. Our goal is to provide you with an accurate picture from both the conspiracy and the skeptic side of each topic so that means option 1 is out. We’re also not that interested in spending the small amount of time we have on goofy or ridiculous conspiracy theories (Finland doesn’t exist, the Earth is flat, etc – side note, Phil has a theory on how and why these simplistic and obviously fake conspiracy theories exist, and it’s not an accident) so option 2 is not viable. That means we’re left with option 3 – produce alternative content for a short while. And that leads us here
So what can we expect?
For the next several months Phil and I will mostly be producing content independent of each other, but not without interaction between our content. Phil and I continue to speak regularly and we’ll be reading and discussing on each other’s writing. Most likely we’ll work through various topics in serial style writing, each writing posts that present a position or refute what the other wrote. So while we’re changing medium for the time being, we’re not changing the philosophy of This Perfect Day.
How often will there be posts?
Unfortunately we can’t commit to a regular schedule of new posts. This is actually in line with our general philosophy as well. For those that have been following us for a while, you’ll know that our episode releases are not exactly regular. Some topics require more investigation, some topics require us to figure out exactly what we want to produce in the time and format we have. Big topics, like Apollo or 9/11 require time, reading, study, understanding. Smaller topics like the Georgia Guidestones are very interesting, but don’t require a ton of time. These blog posts will be similar. We’ll produce them as often as we can to while sticking to our own standards of quality
