The Sphinx is one of the world’s oldest remaining wonders. By all accounts the Sphinx is incredibly old. Over the course of history, even ancient Egyptians occasionally discovered the Sphinx all over again, unburying a statue that was already more than a thousand years old while Pharaohs still ruled the land. It was a marvel of construction in its day, but when was that day? And is there more to the Sphinx than meets the eye? To this day questions persist about the Sphinx’s origins, purpose, age, whose face is carved into the statue, and even if the statue is a lion at all. Join Brett and Phil this week as they discuss the mysteries of the Sphinx.
